Canon High Speed Cheque Scanners
The Canon CR-180II delivers faster throughput than any comparable scanner at 180 cheques per minute. Its unique, all-in-one design boosts efficiency: handling five key steps in one single, quick process.
With a duplex scanning speed of 180 cheques per minute (American cheque format), the CR-180II is up to twice as fast as other compact cheque scanners. You can choose from among six types of black/white and greyscale scanning modes, and five levels of scan resolution (up to 240 x 240dpi). When you're ready to start scanning, load up to 200 cheques on the feed tray at once.

Precise MICR Reading
The CR-180II reads the MICR line with a high precision Canon magnetic reader, and can also read this data simultaneously with OCR software. In addition, the Scanning Utility software lets you save MICR data in different ways: as the file name of an image, in a TIFF file tag, or in a log file for reference.
Advanced Image Processing
Sophisticated image processing features come into play whenever you need them, allowing the CR-180II to deal with all manner of cheque types. Features such as Black Border Removal, Deskew, Advanced Text Enhancement and Adaptive Threshold mean that cheques with coloured and illustrative features – as well as hard to decipher writing – can be manipulated so that the resulting scanned image is significantly improved. This ensures that all valuable cheque data is retained.
Smooth Document Feeding
Reliable feeding is absolutely crucial to efficient job completion. And that's where Canon expertise with document scanners makes a difference. The CR-180II allows you to adjust the feed mechanism to match the thickness of your documents, which ensures that each document moves smoothly into the scanner. Duplicate forms can be fed as well, by turning off the paper separation mechanism.
Double Feed Detection
If two cheques get pulled into the scanner at the same time, you'll be warned right away. The CR-180II can be set to detect double feeds either by the thickness or length of your documents.
Bundled Software
The Canon Scanning Utility application software offers scanning, file saving, image viewing, printing and various other functions. The CR-180II comes bundled with a standard ISIS/TWAIN driver and a driver based on the renowned Silver Bullet Technology’s Ranger™ Transport API software, which means it can work seamlessly with all the leading cheque processing software. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is also incorporated to ensure integration into any workflow is completely seamless.
