Formic's Fusion software automatically reads the information contained in documents whether on paper, the Internet, tablet PCs or PDAs then subjects each piece of data to a series of rigorous checks before transferring it to your enterprise applications. It also stores an image of the original document alongside the extracted data, for instant retrieval.

The Fusion software platform comes in three sizes so that any customer, however sophisticated their needs, will find a solution that's right for them.

 

Fusion plus is the entry level system that processes paper forms from a single workstation, Fusion pro is the mid-level, multi-user system that processes paper forms and electronic forms deployed to the web, tablet PC or PDA and finally, Fusion's flagship system, Fusion x, offers all this plus full intelligent document recognition (IDR) capability to read and extract information from semi-structured and unstructured documents, such as invoices.

 

The core Fusion system can be extended to capture information from remote and mobile workers by deploying the software to the web or to handheld devices such as tablet PCs or PDAs. Customised versions of Fusion also address the needs of particular markets, for example, activity analysis and invoice processing.

This entry-level system will process paper forms, of your own design, from a single workstation. It is suitable for low volume form processing where the collected data is held locally and analysed or sanity-checked before being transferred to other applications. Typical users are those conducting surveys and audits.

This mid-level system builds on the capabilities of Fusionplus with increased functionality and number of users while accommodating the need for high-volume form processing. Forms can be designed and processed at any number of locations across the enterprise and even deployed electronically - to the web, tablet PCs and PDAs for completion by mobile workers. The software will process complex, structured paper forms and, in some instances, semi-structured documents. Once processed, the captured information can be exchanged with other business systems via the Application Programming Interface (API).

Fusion x

 

Formic's flagship system, Fusionx, offers full intelligent document recognition (IDR) capability. In addition to the functionality provided by Fusionpro, it can read, extract and process information from semi-structured and unstructured paper documents, such as invoices, CVs, purchase orders, utility bills and reports. Data can be extracted from inbound documents, not previously sighted by the software. This data can be exchanged with other data held in connected business applications to further enhance its value, allowing documents to be accurately classified and routed to those that need them.

Fusion's PDA Forms module enables organisations to deploy pre-designed forms to Pocket PC or PDA devices enabling mobile workers to capture information electronically, while they work.

 

Any form designed at the Fusionplus or Fusionx workstation, whether new or existing, can be deployed. Thus, Fusion's PDA Forms module increases the number of communication channels through which information can enter an organisation's business systems. The result is elimination of paper documents at source and a more efficient and productive mobile workforce.
