Collaborative Information Management (CIM) is about rolling back the boundaries of real-time communication. It is about everyone having and sharing all the information they need, creating new knowledge and optimizing the way in which knowledge is presented. It can also mean quickly and easily transforming knowledge into didactic content.
Streamline collaboration. Improve decisions. Learn faster.
That is what makes Hyperwave so different – and that goes so far beyond the all-too-familiar limitations of enterprise content management. ECM – the traditional approach to organizing corporate knowledge – presents neither technical nor strategic solutions to the real challenges thrown out by global competition: the need for efficient collaboration, effective customer care, better decision processes that draw on all available knowledge, and focused learning.
That is why Hyperwave has added real time collaboration and eLearning solutions to the content management platform that has proven its value over more than a decade. In essence, Collaborative Information Management (CIM) is simply the integrated bundling of these technologies. Enterprises around the world want vast scalability. They want stable, modular systems with unprecedented performance and uncompromising ease of use. They find it only in Hyperwave.
To enable all knowledge resources to be accessed and put to productive use in every business process, Hyperwave has focused its solution portfolio on three core areas:
• collaboration
• content and
• eLearning
Knowledge is the intellectual capital, the very lifeblood of every enterprise. Keeping that lifeblood flowing and multiplying, however – and thereby sustaining healthy growth – demands solutions to vital core challenges. Aware of this, Hyperwave has developed a seamlessly integrated solution portfolio whose underlying strategy and superlative functionality meet all three core challenges:
|
Interact
Collaboration presents the hardest challenge. It is the task that distributed global companies must address most urgently. Essentially, however, collaboration is also an opportunity that is simple and easy to grasp.
Why simple and easy? Because the rapid pace at which IP technology is advancing and spreading today makes communication – and hence collaboration – an effortless task. Hyperwave uses real-time conferencing, desktop application sharing and web-based project communities to bring people and information together in productive symbiosis. |
Manage
Productive collaboration lays the foundation for new content – the structured information (database entries, figures) and unstructured information (documents, e mails, video/audio files) that make up a company's intellectual capital. To apply all this new knowledge in practice, it is crucial to filter out what is really valuable and important, edit this information properly and archive it with a secure audit trail. Decisions can then be made on a more solid basis. Customers can be cared for more efficiently. Processes involving partners become genuinely seamless. Hyperwave masterfully deals with this classic ECM challenge by delivering an immensely powerful, proven content management platform that is already used by more than 300 companies around the world. |

If it is not to be wasted, enterprise knowledge must be edited consistently and distributed to the right people. The ideal vehicle for such knowledge transfer is eLearning. eLearning ensures that critical knowledge is fully and quickly assimilated.
Hyperwave leverages cutting-edge technologies to generate new didactic content quickly and easily. In this way, the outcomes of a conference call during which team members engaged in real-time-collaboration to rework a PowerPoint presentation, say, can be transformed into a sales training document – complete with questions and a detailed synopsis – in minutes. |
Many businesses have come to recognize the importance of having access to timely and relevant information in today's fast-paced economy. Knowledge has become one of the most valuable commodities of the 21st century and therefore deserves our full attention. The Hyperwave eKnowledge Suite (eKS) enables the simple management of structured and unstructured data in a dynamic Collaborative Information Management (CIM) System, as well as allowing access to this information at any time. The most important characteristic is the connection of sophisticated content and document management with standards-based Web technology, whereby core processes in the enterprise are efficiently supported.
Intuitive user prompting, role-specific content display and automatic pushing of information provide intelligent support for both knowledge management as well as effective collaboration – within enterprises and business-to-business. High scalability as well as simple adaptation and administration tools allow for flexible upgrading of the system.
The Hyperwave eKnowledge Suite is based on Hyperwave IS/6, the Hyperwave Collaborative Information (CIM) Management Platform and is the central platform for Hyperwave Collaborative Information Management.

Public Sector organisations at all levels face a difficult challenge of managing both electronic and paper records for the benefit of their employees and the public. Drivers such as the Modernising Government White Paper and Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation in the UK and the Government Paper Elimination Act in the US have required institutions to find a solution to efficiently and effectively manage all government records.

Hyperwave’s eRecord Suite (eRS) delivers sophisticated records management functionality that meets the legislated standards requirements of both US and UK Governments while providing powerful document and content management, collaboration, and business process support from within the same platform.
Integrated with Hyperwave’s eKnowledge Infrastructure, the eRecord Suite empowers organisations with critical records management elements – supporting the entire lifecycle of internal and external records. Public sector organisations benefit from an innovative solution that combines content and process with connectivity to invisibly enforce policy at the technology layer, eliminating user-related error, time and cost factors, and ensuring best practice records management.
