Ascot Business Solutions Sponsors Leicester Tigers player Richard Blaze

After sponsoring Richard Blaze for two and a half seasons, we were saddened to hear of Richard's early retirement from rugby, as a result of a long term injury. We wish Richard every success in his future career.

For the remainder of the 2010/11 season Ascot will be sponsoring Ed Slater.

For a lad born in Leicester, Ed Slater has certainly gone around the houses to make a debut for his hometown club. Slater moved to Milton Keynes as a youngster and played for his local side. He moved to Australia in his teens and lived in Sydney playing for Eastern Suburbs. He then got a junior contract with Super 14 side the Waratahs which he ended after a successful trial at Leicester helped him earn a place at Nottingham, for whom he made his debut in March 2010.

Leicester’s second-row shortages saw Slater take part in pre-season with Tigers on loan from Nottingham, and the 6ft 5in, 18 stone giant has impressed so much, making 19 appearances so far this season, that he could gain a full contract with the club for next season.
